Horticulture New Zealand acknowledges that while we can take steps to ensure the fruit and vegetables the New Zealand horticulture industry produces may be safe and fit for purpose when they leave our grower's premises, what happens to them when they get home is out of the industry's hands.

We believe educating New Zealanders about safe food handling practices in the home is an important step in protecting and promoting the quality and safety of New Zealand fresh produce.

That's why we are proud to be a member of the New Zealand Foodsafe partnership. We believe it shows that we are interested and care about our product and customers' wellbeing.
